"The clothes are a theatrical experience that will blend new technologies with traditional elegance. There are over 300 clothes, an amalgamation of youthful modernity and elaborate Indian dress age, " Beri said in a statement.
"While designing for this tour it was important to keep intact the heritage and traditions of India and add a new modernity to the presentation."
The show - A.R. Rahman Jai Ho Concert: The Journey Home - starts June 11 in New York at the Nassau Coliseum and will travel to 20 major cities worldwide including Los Angeles, Washington, Dallas and London.
"This is like doing five couture shows, all in one. It's been huge and very challenging. We are presenting a New Age India to the world. Working with a composer of Rahman's calibre has been very exciting and prestigious. I have enjoyed creating and designing the costumes not just for Rahman but the other singers and dancers as well, " she said.
The world tour is being produced by Deepak Gattani and Rapport Productions.
